This project was created in In Transition: Media.
In Transition: Media is an afterschool paid internship program for youth and young adults from Red Hook and other Brooklyn neighborhoods aged 16-24. As they hone their digital media production skills, they work in teams to produce short video documentaries on subjects ranging from their personal life goals to feminism to the impacts of contemporary music trends on local youth.
In Transition: Media is supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council, the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature, The Pinkerton Foundation, the Bay and Paul Foundations, Shelley and Donald Rubin Foundation, Investors Foundation, the Hyde and Watson Foundation, the Seventh District Foundation, and Con Edison.
