Entergy Lake Charles Power Station Groundbreaking

Entergy executives and government officials gathered in Westlake, Louisiana, on Jan. 22, 2018, to break ground for the Lake Charles Power Station, an $872 million natural gas-fired combined-cycle unit. The plant, which is scheduled to be in commercial operation by June 2020, will produce enough energy to meet the average power needs of 675,000 Louisiana homes.
