This film was made on Broadway's two day filmmaking workshop, Intro to filmmaking: Beginners that took place on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th October 2017.
This was a beginners-level workshop for those who wanted to explore and increase their knowledge of filmmaking equipment and the roles that are involved and most importantly, to gain basic knowledge on how to make a film.
The workshop was run by Roger Knott-Fayle. Roger has over 30 years’ experience as a Director of Photography, camera operator and editor. Recent credits include “The Great Hip Hop Hoax” and the British Independent Film Award-winning “Orion: The Man Who Would Be King”, both directed by Jeanie Finlay and commissioned by the BBC. Roger is also a highly respected trainer. He has been a lead tutor on all five of Broadway’s BFI Film Academy courses, a programme of over 100 hours’ training and production for young people aged 16 – 19 from a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences. Roger has also delivered film production training for the British Council in Oman and for a number of universities in the UK and in Finland. Over the years, Roger has trained many people who have gone on to successful careers in the film and television industry.
