Benedicamus Domino was written in 1918 by English composer Peter Warlock. It was originally a setting for 8-part choir of a Latin poem from the time of Henry VI. Here, Da Capo play an orchestral version, at their end-of-term soirée on 7 December 2017.
Da Capo is an adult learners' orchestra with no minimum standard to join. The orchestra (with conductors Patsy and Ken Moore) had rehearsed this piece, and several others, for about ten weeks of the autumn term, before performing to friends and family.
