On Saturday afternoon, June 18, 2011, a rally and march was held in Baltimore, MD. Its emphasis was on the need for governmental “funding for the communities,” and to “bring the War $$$$ home.” Meanwhile, the U.S. Conference of Mayors was meeting at a down town hotel. The activists paraded to the hotel and staged a demonstration, raising their demands. A coalition of Social Justice groups were involved in organizing the sprited event.
