This is a 4K resolution timelapse: The moments that we had the chance to witness the rare Super Blue Blood Moon, rising behind the Parthenon temple on the Acropolis of Athens. Tonight the earth shadow bathed our satellite in a coppery hue, that is the 'blood moon" due to the lunar eclipse. A "super moon' because the moon is at its closest approach to the earth, thus appearing larger and brighter than usual. "Blue Moon" is the second full moon in a calendar month. This collision of lunar phenomena, that is a super moon, a blue moon and a lunar eclipse occurred simultaneously tonight, in an unusual event that hasn’t happened in over 150 years. Shooting location: Athens , Greece on 31 January 2018. Gear used: Sony a6500, 400mm tele lens.
