Missionary Evangelist Robert Breaker talks about "date setting" and how it can be a sin to set the date of the rapture by saying: "Thus saith the Lord, the rapture WILL BE on such and such a day." However, it's not sin to make an "educated guess" of when the rapture MIGHT BE, as long as someone makes it clear that they aren't being dogmatic about it, and only presenting a POSSIBILITY. He further shows an example of a preacher in 1988-89 who talks about the possibility of the rapture coming back then, but without actually "date setting." He further shows how Christians should LOVE the appearing of Jesus Christ and DESIRE his soon return, and that they should search the scriptures and try to look for clues to when he will return.
