39 FACEPALMS (2MIN VERSION)

On my 39th birthday, I began to make this video which consists of 39 shame-filled, self-deprecating catty statements that flicker in and out of legibility in a space that is neither here nor there.  This all comes from an interest in using shame as tool or material for transformation.  For gallery exhibitions, this is meant to be played on a loop with no sound on a large monitor.  For theater screenings, this should be played as a two-minute video.
