Postcards to the Earth Documentary Film is an interview project that lays theoretical groundwork for the environmental dance film that follows. The choreographer, composer, and others working on behalf of Earth are asked, "What does the body have to do with climate change?" And then, the more personal question, "If you could send a message to the earth, what would you say?"
This second question is the core question motivating the site-specific environmental dance that follows the interviews.
The dance considers themes of protection, grief, and deep love for the natural world.
