An ocean swim at Bass Point has everything from a ship wreck, fish covered reefs and a classic surf spot through to a blue metal quarry jetty which is not only beautiful to swim through, under or around, but also a great spot for a very high jump into the ocean.
Leaving from Bush Ranger's bay we swim out over a renowned dive site, which also happens to be a Gray Nurse Shark sanctuary. We then reach the wreck of the Boston with its rusting hulk still holding a certain magic. Next it's over Red Sands reef which is a classic surf break just 200m from the jetty.
Who said swimming was boring?
