Testing out my new Canon EF 50mm f1.4 !
This is such a great lens! Very lightweight, solid built, relatively inexpensive, FAST (f1.4), SHARP! and has a very fluid "Full-Action" Manual Focus. That means you can focus manually even with AutoFocus switched on!
What I really liked most and did not expect is the very, very good Focus Ring. It's movement is from near to far exactly half a turn with a great fluid motion and enough friction to focus pretty precise!
I shot this test mostly with ISO 160 at f1.4. The only light is from the lowering sun hitting with a small area in the backgound looming the room only with a few rays, the rest were relatively darkish and shadowy. For the darker areas in the room I set ISO to 1250, you see more grain on those scenes.
Canon Picture Style used: Marvels Advanced 3.3
Dolly motion is done with my self built one meter Slider and inexpensive Manfrotto Video Tilt Head.
