Titled "Collaborative Roots," the Collaborative Project designed the wooden sculptural installation of 1 stylized seed and 5 elegant standing panels. With the well-equipped workshop support from Cerritos College, 14 international and 6 local artists were able to devote themselves wholeheartedly in the process of designing, tooling, moulding and assembling. On the panels of various heights that ranged from 9 to 11.5 feet are leaf shaped hollows that create the forest-like surroundings to the audience. The seed was placed at the entrance of the Hall C at Long Beach Convention Centre so that the audience could see the seed upon entering, and then visually extended to the center area where the panels stand. The collaborative project designed the graceful and refined wooden sculptural installation to celebrate the theme Roots at the 2017 World Wood Day.
