Clean Air
The Clean Air session was an introduction to the major themes in air quality planning, including permitting programs, standards for mobile sources, special programs developed to improve air quality such as the acid rain program, and noise pollution controls. Mr. Traylor also discussed the developments leading to the enactment of the Clean Air Act in 1970 and its 1990 amendments, and the implementation of regulations related to climate change.
