SEGMENT PRODUCER | EDITOR
Network: SPEED (FS1)
Series 7Days
Premiere: 2006
In 2006, I spent the entire 36-race NASCAR season producing & editing a unique television show. Each week we'd pick a different NASCAR personality, whether it be a driver, crew member, track operator, merchandise salesperson, or in Nigel Kinrade's case, photographer, to follow for 7 days straight & document their everyday life. Each week we'd wake up with them, take out the trash, run errands, prep for trace weekend, & ultimately culminate with their role during that week's NASCAR event. It was a whirlwind to execute because you had to keep focused on the week at-hand, but also think ahead to next week's subject, which always began filming on Monday morning, regardless of how the previous race event played out. Looking back, the show might have presented a mild curse though. We never once went to victory lane (when following a driver or team member), but we came CLOSE!
These are some of the fun moments I crafted from Nigel's week on the receiving end of a camera lens.
