Project: Live action feature film, The Horde
Title: VFX animator.
VFX clip: Blood splat.
I did a lot of RnD for this project, mostly for the blood effects but also for a head explosion from a grenade in the mouth and a bloody head bashing. Most of that RnD was done with Realflow and Softimage cloth simulation for the slime. In the end we had to deliver a lot of shots with bloody effects so we dropped the heavy Realflow simulation in favor of a simple particle system in Softimage ICE.
