Mostly, musican's sit when they play Spanish gitaar. The gitaar rests on your knee and the Soundboard is free, meaning wow! the sound is optimal.
When you play the Spanish gitaar while standing up and roaming around, [ that's my thing ] the Soundboard rests against your 'tummy' [ ha..ha.. funny English word..]. This really muffles the sound. Made me think about what I could do to solve this problem. After some experimenting, puzzeling and playing around, I came up with this 'backboard' idea. When you play guitar, you do not hear/experience what the listener hears/experiences, because you're listening from a different position. That being said. You can get a good idea when you're working with amplification [mike and monitor]. So I tested the sound by employing really good mic's [ Neumann KM 184, Sennheiser MKH 416 P48 and the DPA 4099 you see in the video] I was blown away by the result! The quality of the sound is really, really good! So, what to do when you are enlightened by a bright idea like this? Right on! Share it!
