Our perception model is more or less based on the fact, that the time and the space perceptions of the humans are mutually dependent. A distance, which a person – or a sound – covers in space, is mainly realized as a temporal phenomenon.
Space gets time. A time interval gets a distance. The time perception is realized by the space perception and vice versa. Space gets a time experience by the action of an event in this space.
The installation is an experimental essay to make this relation tangible and somehow to search for intermediate zones between the temporal and the spatial zone.
When two mirrors are placed opposite, the small space in between expands to an endless space in light velocity by repetition. This effect is translated acoustically and relates to the distance of the two mirrors.
