# 04 - The Rapture 2018/03/04
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
Every true child of God should look forward to the Rapture, not worry about the grave but anticipate the glory, and not fear death but long to be one day changed into perfect saints of God. That’s why in Titus 2:13, Paul called our calling home a “Blessed Hope”. And at the Rapture, all those saints living and dead will be translated into tangible bodies for life in heaven.
Paul knew first-hand what heaven was like for he’d been there (2 Cor. 12:2-4). Whether it was to embolden Paul in his preaching, to encourage him in his trials or to allow Paul to pass along what he saw, like God did with the Apostle John, Paul got to see heaven, which he calls “paradise”. Paul couldn’t wait to get there but didn’t know whether he would get there by death or at the Rapture and almost didn’t care which one.
What Is The Rapture? - It’s when Christ returns for the saved of the Church Age to call them to the clouds and bring them to heaven, where they will be judged and rewarded for how they served Christ. The church must be removed so God can start the clock on Israel again, seven years left, known as Daniel’s 70th week.
God is not the author of confusion and He’s not going to have two types of salvation being preaching during the Tribulation. I’m called to preach the Gospel of Grace while the 144,000 will preach God’s wrath.
Where Do We Get The Word Rapture? - Some say the word rapture isn’t in the Bible to which I reply that the word ‘Bible’ isn’t in the Bible but we believe it.
