On February 24th, 700 people came together to ally with student leaders. 700 people came together to learn, discuss, and organize to join our movement to end random searches and win fully funded community schools. Patrisse Cullors, founder of Black Lives Matter spoke along with student leaders from around LA. Additionally, there was a major student art exhibit [FreedomFest Art show] and a training led by Black Lives Matter and Students Deserve leader Shamell Bell on Dance as Resistance. We believe this event will play a major role in the movement to END random searches THIS school year.
