City Council will vote on July 12th or 13th to keep or remove the Jarvis bike lanes. We went out on Jarvis Street and approached a number of cyclists and drivers to ask them: "What is wrong with this bike lane?"
Surprisingly all the drivers but one thought the bike lanes were important, that they increased the safety of cyclists and that they weren't bothered by them.
Mayor Rob Ford has claimed that he's received calls for their removal. Why is our mayor making decisions that affect thousands based on a handful of complainers? Why not find out from the people who use and live on Jarvis Street?
Please come to City Hall on July 12/13, join the Toronto Cyclists Union (http://bikeunion.to), and follow our Twitter account to get up to the minute updates on when the vote will take place (http://twitter.com/bikeunion)
