Human Energy tells a story of many different people from 12 European countries, modern hobbits sort of speak, frightened by the catastrophic perspective of climate change. They break the stereotypical approach and take power into their hands to fight with multinational energy corporations differently. We resigned a narrator in the movie and gave the voice to founders, supporters, and members of different RES coops - Renewable Energy Source cooperatives. We found who is responsible and Human Energy primarily tells how to take care of ourselves, empower people to act and make together money on it.
What are the benefits of the circular economy in energy sector? How to cooperate with state decision-makers in that matter? What would happen if instead of wasting money on obsolete thinking and technologies, spend them together to build small, distributed wind farms, solar or biogas plants - producing energy, which we will consume ourselves?
More than 2,500 RES cooperatives in Europe believes in responsible approach and sustainable energy.
"Human Energy" is the first film about energy cooperatives in Europe realized on such a large scale. From the stories of dozens of people from 12 European countries (England, Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, Greece, Germany, France, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain), a modern chronicle was created that courageously breaks the stereotypical „green utopian” approach to change climate business. Issues of economics, geopolitics and energetics are brought closer in a surprising way by eminent academics, among others: prof. Vincenzo Balzani from the University of Bologna, prof. Brian Vad Mathiesen from the Aalborg University in Denmark, or the French pioneer of nuclear energy, Dr Bernard Laponche.
“Human Energy” is for EVERYONE, especially for those who don’t know or don’t care about energy and climate change.
