A Study of the End Times - Revelation PM
# 06 - Daniel's Seventieth Week 03/18/2018
Daniel, a royal of Jerusalem, had been deported to Babylon at the age of 19 and spent his entire life serving Nebuchadnezzar, Nerriglassar and Belshazzar and then two Persian Kings, Darius and Cyrus. He was 22 in Daniel 2 when he interpreted Nebuchadnezzar’s dream, 88 years old when summoned to interpret the writing on the wall for Belshazzar and 92 years old when he wrote the closing chapters of this book.
Daniel is the O.T. version of the book of Revelation. Just as Revelation starts with several chapters that are both historical and applicable to the here and now so does the book of Daniel. And just as Revelation then turns to things in the future for its remaining chapters, so does Daniel. Christians study Revelation to learn prophecy and one day the Jews will turn to Daniel.
