Code Duello (from Boston) reunited for a show at the first ever Improvised Play Festival in Austin, TX at The Hideout Theatre.
About the Group
On July 11, 1804, the most infamous duel in American history was fought. The rivals were Alexander Hamilton, former Secretary of Treasury of the United States, and Aaron Burr, Vice President of the United States.
In Code Duello, Boston improvisers Neil Reynolds & Matt Tucker don the wigs and waistcoats of Aaron Burr and Alexander Hamilton. Together they recreate the greatest rivalry in American History, unscripted and uninhibited by historical accuracy.
About the Festival
Over the years, The Hideout has built its reputation on producing full-length improvised plays in a wide range of styles: Shakespeare, Dickens, Star Trek, Film Noir.
The Hideout certainly isn’t alone in its approach, and it’s time to bring like-minded improv companies together to celebrate and show off the more theatrical side of improv.
Hence, the world’s first Improvised Play Festival.
