Located in Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary, the shipwreck E.B. Allen was carrying a cargo of grain when it collided with the Newsboy and sunk on November 20, 1871. Well preserved by the cold water of Lake Huron, the E.B. Allen sits upright in 100 feet of water with its hull largely intact and the windlass, anchor chains and rudder still in place.
