Our faces play a vital role in helping us navigate the world. Facial problems like paralysis and cleft lip and palate therefore affect more than appearance. They can seriously hinder peoples’ ability to function in daily life. Carroll Ann Trotman of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine has developed innovative research methods and is collaborating with experts in other fields to improve care for people living with these conditions.
This study was supported by grant #R21 DE025295-01A1 from the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR) awarded to Dr. Carroll Ann Trotman.
