DETROIT (Tell Us Det) - She's an Actress, Author and now she's add acting coach to her list of creative credentials. Robin Givens is taking her act on the road hoping to inspire children and adults with a series of workshops she's launching in Detroit. Thanks to the Arts League of Michigan, for the next 2 weeks, Givens will be sharing some of the tools of her craft with children and adults at the Virgil H. Carr Cultural Arts Center on Grand River in Paradise Valley. Givens' new creative endeavor is called, "The Art of Acting...for life", which consists of two separate workshops for children and adults. Given's hopes to inspire Detroiters interested in acting, not only to develop and hone their skills, but to be open to the possibility of being more of who they are.

Art's League President Oliver Ragsdale Jr. says they're honored to have Ms. Givens accept their invitation to be their Artist in Residence.

To celebrate this new project you're invited to a special reception honoring Robin Givens at the Virgil H. Carr Cultural Arts Center between 5:00pm - 7:00pm Saturday, July 9th 2011. Robin Givens absolutely loves the city of Detroit!
