Dr. Stent is the director of the Center for Eurasian, Russian and East European Studies and professor of government and foreign service at Georgetown University. She is also a Senior Fellow (non-resident) at the Brookings Institution and co-chairs its Hewett Forum on Post-Soviet Affairs. A member of the Council on Foreign Relations, Dr. Stent received her B.A. from Cambridge University, M.Sc. with distinction from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and M.A. and PhD. from Harvard University.
