"I Want" by Olivia Davies and Julie Peters. This work explores themes of intimacy, connection, love, pain, and confusion located in the body--specifically in the voice and in the belly. We were greatly inspired by Lee Maracle's essay "My Love" from her book I Am Woman: A Native Perspective on Sociology and Feminism. Olivia speaks a passage from the essay with Maracle's permission. The rest of the words are written and performed by Julie Peters.
