'The Empty Chair' is a short film made in Ireland, written by and acted in, by men with Acquired Brain Injury with the support of Philip Cullen (artist, facilitator). It was funded by the WWETB and Philip Cullen. The men were drawn from a Waterford branch of Acquired Brain Injury Ireland. The film-making group was founded in 2014 and has made three films and documentary. Disability is not the focus of this group. The films embrace themes of love, addiction, bereavement and other forms of loss. The group won a national educational award in 2015 and have been featured in the Irish Times. Originally known as the Belong Film Group, we are now known as Red Lead.
