City footage examined with my Simultaneous Opposites engine. The engine loads a video file and initial parameters for loop length, center frame # of loop, and fps. When I start the engine it uses these parameters to play the section of the file accessed by the parameters. I then vary the parameters in real time, traversing the file frames. Note how differently captured source videos (pans, dollies, cuts, objects moving and not moving between the frames) lead to differing visual phenomena when accessed by the S.O. engine. Synch sound broadcasts the rhythms generated by the traversal. Jazz examines minimalism.
