She arrived in Germany on her way to Sweden where a new life was waiting for her. Not being able to reach her final destination she was left stranded on a German train station and had to make a quick decision. Without a word of German and without a cent in her pocket, she slept in that train station for a couple of nights until a helpful Romanian Roma informed her of a refugee camp in the outskirts of Berlin, which was supported by Amnesty international. Elena got on a train to Berlin, where she lives till today.
