Title: Engineering Software Languages for the Digital World
Keynote Lecturer: Bernhard Rumpe

Abstract: Modeling is key for any engineering discipline to design a system and to early understand its quality. Effective modeling needs appropriate modeling languages, because as already Wittgenstein said: "The borders of my language are the borders of my world."In the upcoming decade of digitalizing almost every domain, we will see a need for new often pretty domain-specific languages. We will discuss how those can be systematically designed instead of only built from scratch. We examine concepts like language reuse, composition, refinement, extension as well as management of language variants and see how they apply to languages from the newly digitized domains.
