commonground is proud to announce the first ever Service Design short course at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, London.
This full time, two-week course will be a hands-on approach to the methods and tools used when designing services for the private, public or third sector (including social enterprise models). Customer experience, mapping techniques, co-design, prototyping, service blueprints and service integration are some of the key concepts of this growing design field.
The teams of participants will engage with 3 live challenges, from a commercial, public and third sector organisation to design a service-based proposal, which will be presented back to the clients at the end of the course. This will be in response to an opportunity, demonstrated through research and user insight. The proposal could be either tangible or intangible, changing people's behaviour or reducing the cost of an existing service.
