The Sights and Sounds of Fiji was filmed January 2010 on the islands of Viti Levu, Taveuni and Qamea. The Fijians are a very friendly people and they welcome all their guests in an upbeat song "Bula" with the literal meaning of "life". Translated it means "hello" or "welcome". Song is a big part of their life and they always say goodbye with the haunting "Isa Lei". For anyone who has been to Fiji and heard this song it will bring tears to your eyes as they bid you farewell with garland and hibiscus. Life underwater is just as vibrant and colorful, set to native Fijian music.
This was filmed with a Sony DCR-HC85 and Amphibico housing. It was produced to give everyone a little flavor of Fiji with the "sights and sounds" above and below water. Fiji is a must and should be on everyone's "bucket list".
