I shot this timelapse on July 5th, 2011, just before the epic haboob rolled through Phoenix.
I was actually torn between leaving for the dust storm or staying to keep capturing that beautiful orange glow on the horizon.
I'm glad I left.
But I was in love with this sunset timelapse for two reasons: The sight of building thunderstorms in fast motion astounds me. I can't get enough of it. And second, you can see the storm on the right horizon build and then drop rain like someone dumped a bucket out of the cloud.
The music is from Inception and fits so perfectly.
