Based on an episode in Thomas de Quincey’s "Confessions of an English Opium Eater" in which de Quincey, when an ill and impoverished youth in London, befriended -and then lost trace of- a teenage prostitute who frequented Oxford Street and Soho. Using almost entirely still photographs, the film revisits some of the locations mentioned in the story and creates a psychogeographical re-imagining of the events and emotions that De Quincey recalls.
