Léon Benjamin is a social media practitioner, speaker and author. He is a long-time advocate of social software, and has advised many large corporations on how to adapt their organisational model to leverage the benefits of social networks.
In his response to the What One Change question, Léon describes the unsuitability of our command-and-control model of organisation as "the biggest story of the 21st century".
He offers his vision for a better society where societies and organisations adopt an approach he describes as 'Winning by sharing' - a cooperative, network-centric model, where there is a continuous, fair exchange of value.
Drawing on examples from the worlds of business and technology, including the open-source movement, Léon demonstrates how collaborative, network-centric models offer us a happier, less stressful future and greater levels of productivity. He also describes how we can only change our model of organisation model if we fundamentally change the way we teach people.
