The D&D Fitness Radio Podcast welcomes Dr. Lynn Saladino (no relation to Don) in Episode 015 to speak about managing behaviours around fitness and nutrition. Dr. Saladino discusses some of the key issues around facilitating changes in behavior with her clients, whether it has to do with weight loss, eating habits, exercise engagement or general mental health and wellness. She takes a holistic approach to addressing the needs of her clients, assisting them with transitioning into a new exercise program or a different approach to dieting, as well as exploring the motivations behind these life changes. Dr. Saladino emphasizes that these types of changes are not easy, and clients often need to appreciate the time and energy required to effect and sustain change over the long term.
Dr. Saladino’s practice is based in New York City, working with clients on relationships, weight management, fitness, stress, anxiety and general health. After earning a BA with honors in Psychology from Fairfield University, Dr. Saladino completed a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. While at Nova, she was accepted into a special program for the study of Health Psychology, which offered training and education in health and wellness. Her clinical training took place at the Boston VA Healthcare System, Suffolk University Counseling Center, and Tufts University.
