Curatorial Statement: Consumers is a glossy, eye-candy musical journey through ideologies, politics, activism and the condition of the people who were born to follow them all. (Călin Boto, BIEFF 2018)
Using two characters either with their backs at the camera or breaking the fourth wall during dizzy dances, Gabriela Fierbințeanu explores the passivity lying behind any activity involving political movements. The surreal background and the burlesque music with its ironic, amusing lyrics create a flamboyantly wrapped social critique. (Călin Boto, BIEFF 2018)
