Meet Stefka Ammon, a German graphic artist and filmmaker based in Berlin, whose extensive resumé of projects often focuses on perceptions of images, space, and emotion, using a variety of mediums. With a willingness and courage to critically examine both personal and societal life, beliefs and behaviors, her insight was important for our film as it showed a model of positive intercultural collaboration without appropriation. One of her earlier work, "My Winnetou" (2003) explored the stereotype filled expectations Germans developed of Native peoples and cultures, based on the Karl May series of books.
"60 or so" are short interview excerpts or extra scenes from new documentary film, "Forget Winnetou! Loving in the Wrong Way" (2018).
