John Moore (b. 1941; St. Louis, MO) received his BFA from Washington University and his MFA from Yale. His work is in many museum collections including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, the Chicago Art Institute, the Yale Art Gallery, the Colby College Museum of Art, and the Portland Museum of Art, among others. He has taught at the Tyler School of Art, the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, the University of California, Berkley, Boston University, and the University of Pennsylvania. He lives in Belfast, Maine.
Sam Cady (b. 1943; Boothbay Harbor, ME) received a BA from the University of New Hampshire and an MFA from Indiana University. He taught in the graduate program at the School of Visual Arts, NYC, from 1984 to 2007. Throughout this period, he split his time between New York and his home and studio in Friendship, Maine, where he lives today.
