In this recorded webinar, participants will learn about the basic principles of social marketing, adding social marketing into your ongoing suicide prevention strategy, audience selection and segmentation, and social marketing in smaller and more rural communities. Emphasis will be placed on identifying appropriate behaviors, measuring change, and real world examples from which we can all learn. The course is designed for people who are engaged in suicide prevention planning at the community level, and who are not marketing professionals.


Gayle Jaffe, a Senior Prevention Specialist with SPRC, where she provides technical assistance and prevention support to a portfolio of state, tribal, and campus constituents, including Idaho.

Anara Guard, a senior advisor with SPRC, where she has worked for the past six years. She also consults with the San Diego County suicide prevention media campaign and, starting next month, will be working on California statewide suicide prevention messaging, media and marketing campaigns.
