From the Times Herald Record; "BLOOMING GROVE — It's not the twirling front-yard Ferris wheel with Sneezy, Grumpy and all of the dwarves that matters most to John Palmer in his jaw-dropping Christmas display. Or the chugging choo-choo train that's big enough to ride.
It's not even the life-sized Santa and his reindeer, the chest-high Nutcracker soldiers or the two floors and dozen rooms with hundreds of Christmas trees, thousands of gingerbread men and dozens of golden angels.
What matters most to John Palmer in this display that's drawn everyone from local Girl Scouts to CBS TV is an ornament you might not even notice: a tiny, hand-sized Santa whirring up and down a string."
That ornament was the favorite of John and Daria Palmer's late son, Christopher. He died suddenly 10 years ago this past week, when he was just 23. This Christmas display at the Palmer house is called Christopher's Christmas Dream.
