4. Living in a sinful world, we will have times of being treated unjustly. In both the law and the gospels, we are forbidden to recompense evil for evil. To take private revenge is prohibited. Read Proverbs 20:22.
Read how both the Old and New Testaments give the same principle in Proverbs 25:21- 22 and Romans 12:20. The law of love is expounded here. Its obvious meaning is: seize the moment of distress to show kindness to the one who hates you.
Pause and think about your life.... In what areas do you get your own revenge?
Ask the Lord to give you creative ways to show kindness to those who annoy or hurt you.
