Camera : Sony A6500

Picture Profile : SLOG2 Gamma w/ Movie color space
LUT : DIGILOG Agfa Optima (prototype)
I’ve been working out a theory about SLOG2 and I’ve settled on these results. Its best to not adjust the in camera ISO and only use aperture, shutter speed and lighting to adjust the exposure. The second thing I noticed is SLOG2 performs way better when using a smaller color space like sgamut3.cine and even better with a compressed rec709 color profile. Since I am not designing my LUTs to convert color spaces or to directly emulate film the user is granted more freedom when using SLOG2. I recommend the movie color gamut because it is the most compressed so you get the best tonal response in the color, stills is more accurate, cinema brings down the reds and blues which helps tremendously in grading and sgamut3.cine allows you to gain the full support of davinci resolve color management. These LUTs are designed to be used in a color managed workflow so the LUT focuses solely on changes to the color curves for slight cross processing effects and hue, saturation, lightness adjustments to get you started on your look.
