I am standing in a tuxedo, just a few feet from my best friend. This is awesome. I love nostalgia and can't wait to look back on this moment and feel it again. As I hear his vows, my smile turns to clenched teeth as I try to hold back the tears.

I can't begin to describe how it felt as I experienced this once in a lifetime moment with Ben, and adding the ability to also make a film to show their love and joy on that day puts the whole experience in a category of it's own.

It was an emotionally awesome day seeing my best friend getting married, and I keep wanting to live this amazing day over with them, so I made a film and surprised them with it a week later in person :)

Special thanks to Josh Thoreson for taking "A Crash Landing Course on How to Shoot a Wedding 30 Minutes Before" and shooting the ceremony for me while I cried it up! haha!

The backstory of the story:

I absolutely adore these two, and have had the pleasure of knowing Ben since the 7th grade when we became best friends for life. We terrorized the city of Rochester together doing everything from making a robot suit to walk around town, tinfoiling a car and driving in the city bumping rap music, making short movies, played sports together, and so many more things. Many of my most awesome growing up memories of middle / high school were shared with Ben. After we graduated we both went to separate schools and hungout only on school breaks, and one break I had the opportunity to meet Kaitie. I had high standards for who would be even dating my friend Ben, but Kaitie quickly surprised me with her charming personality and quick-witted comments as I interrogated her in the kitchen of my home in Minnesota one night when Ben and Kaitie stopped over. She was up to the task of being Ben's girlfriend, but I didn't know they would get married eventually!

As soon as Ben had planned to officially propose, he had the ring and could not wait to put it on her finger, in fact, I had been hanging out with Ben and he said he would call me and give me some heads up in the next few weeks, but a few days later, I got a call saying: "DUDE I'M ENGAGED!!" -- "You're the Best Man!!" and then a while later we got to talking and decided that our awesome brothers should be our best men, but I still had a spot in the wedding party, and Ben still has a spot in mine.

A year and a few months later, these love birds got married, and I am so privileged to still call Ben a best friend.

Thanks for letting me be in your wedding B&K and also for letting me run around like a crazy man in a tux while shooting you guys :)

Go do awesome things for God.
