An investigative documentary. From our characters’ point of view, both recognized experts and anonymous people, our goal is to find out how Social Media influence our society nowadays. Globalization has allowed the entire world to be interconnected, what implies that the use of social media has consequences and universal effects. There are approximately seven billion cell phones in the world, and half of them have Internet connection, a video camera, and direct access to social media tools.
Through different examples will try to draw a map and visualize how revolutions in the 21st-century are based on the use of Internet. We want to analyse this phenomenon using in-depth interviews with an specific narrative: Jordi Fuster, an activist who voted in the Catalan referendum and experienced police attacks, will explain the events of October 1st.
People use social networks in their daily lives, as we see with Jordi’s story, and with many others that along the documentary explain their different experiences using platforms like Facebook.
