This video presents the exhibition“Light and Life”during the TV news in Vietnam on VTV6 on 16 April 2018.
The exhibition "Light and life" has been set up at the Heritage Space Cultural Center in Hanoi, Vietnam, from 14 April till 5 May 2018.
During the exhibition, Alexandre Dang invites the public to think about sustainable development through his artwork Dancing Solar Flowers and the latest creations: Solar Paintings and Graphic Dance.
You may ask how a "Dancing Solar Flower" can move? Each "Dancing Solar Flower" is composed of a photovoltaic cell producing solar electricity that triggers the movement when there is light. The more light there is, the faster the "Dancing Solar Flower" moves! When covering the solar cell, the "Dancing Solar Flower" slows down!
Our way of life needs to move towards sustainable development: sustainable energies shall play a key role in particular for tackling climate change. In this context, the solar-powered flowers offer poetry to the public and contribute to raise awareness on the potential of renewable energy for mankind and for the environment.
Solar Paintings are created by means of solar machines that artist Alexandre Dang has designed. When the surrounding light is sufficient, the machine starts moving and draws different shapes.
Graphic Dance is a performance which reveals an ode to dance and freedom of movement.
Enjoy and share sustainable solar art with people you love!
