"Lum and Abner" was one of broadcasting's pioneering radio sitcoms, airing on network radio from 1931 to 1954 and spinning off a theatrical film series from 1940 to 1955. It inspired the content of such hit TV series as "The Andy Griffith Show," "The Real McCoys," "Green Acres" and "The Beverly Hilllbillies." In 2011, Donnie Pitchford and FirstArkansasNews.net's Ethan C. Nobles obtained permission from the owner of "Lum and Abner," Chester H. Lauck, Jr., to produce "Lum and Abner" as a comic strip. This video includes the audio track produced each week by Donnie Pitchford especially for blind readers. This video is copyrighted by FirstArkansasNews.net, Chester H.
