On June 10th 2011 Tony Robinson and Fulcrum TV were at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery working on a TV programme about the Staffordshire Hoard. The Hoard team videoed the day - including filming the TV crew filming them! This has been cut into a short film of snippets.
Because they were videoing people speaking to each other as they go about their work, or filming them from a distance being interviewed, the sound is often inaudible. We wanted to give a flavour of what it is like when a film crew is the conservation studio and I hope we have captured that!
The video is introduced by Deborah Cane, the Hoard Conservation Project Manager, and we also see conservators Deborah Magnoler, Cymbeline Storey and Ellen Promise being filmed for the documentary. The film ends with the clip of Tony Robinson that has already been posted.
